Grow Up!

I can't help but wonder if mother earth hurts when she is cut open. It is a selfish thought because if she hadn't been trampled through for the sake of creating highways and other passages I wouldn't have the pleasure of soaking in the thin lines that surround me. Her flesh surrounds me as I drive through these massive hills of limestone and other formations. Can't help the spontaneous thoughts that bring me here.


Much like our own lives we take what is handed to us and hope we survive (sometimes). I never knew one could hide out in plain sight; I like it. Of course it is only temporary just like everything else; no exceptions.

What does promoting awareness mean to you? What does getting involved mean to you? If you are selfish and self centered you think the world revolves around you and everything ends and begins with you. There is another word for that besides selfish and self centered it is also called being lonely. No I don't mean alone because there is a huge difference. Lonely means your shadow has parted ways with you, willingly and you can't help the emptiness that lingers within you where your heart once lived. Awareness and getting involved are basically the same thing. You promote awareness when you get involved. No that doesn't mean you get between an abuser beating a victim. It means you call 911, scream, shout, point fingers or forward information that may help someone in that situation. Also you may provide resources for those in need for example for Halloween I place within the trick or treat bags little slips of paper with the number for the Domestic Violence National Hot line. Parents do go through trick or treat bags and also children will ask what that number is for which will hopefully will open eyes to the fact that we are not going to sit still on our lazy butts anymore as our neighbor or family member gets beat up whether it is physically or verbally. We must stop cultivating abusers! We must also see past our noses and nourish the love not the pride. Grow up America; just grow up!
