Listen

People don't listen. Including myself. I will nod or agree to something I am not listening to only responding. My daughter catches me doing it all the time.
Tonight I spoke to a group of students at Trinity University and showed the film "Until the Violence Stops". I told them we are the only ones who can end the cycle of violence by speaking out, pointing fingers, etc..... I hadn't done this in awhile but I realized I am still very passionate about my cause. If one person tonight goes home or back to their dorm and mentions tonight's feature then I have done my job. Just one person at a time even if it takes a lifetime. I did mention the media again and how they only report on domestic violence if there is a death or attack on someones life. If it bleeds it leads. I get so sick and tired of that crap. People need to listen plain and simple. Let go of the pride and selfishness and do what is right!
